Our family members are all huge fans of Christmas. In fact, just last week, Violet, at fourteen years of age, told me that she "could not wait for the Christmas magic to start." We do allow Christmas music to play almost as soon as we are done eating turkey and heading home in the car, however, we usually do not get our Christmas tree so close to Thanksgiving. But, we realized that Thanksgiving was actually pretty late and it was the perfect weekend for a long drive out to a Christmas tree farm to cut down our own tree. Finding the "perfect" tree is a very serious issue and the Mr. gave everyone instructions: it couldn't be too tall, and not too squat, it couldn't have "gaps", and they had to look for ones that did not have lots of brown needles in the middle. And so, we roamed the field checking out as many trees as possible so that we wouldn't miss the one that was destined to come home with us. And we think we found it. Our living room ceiling is not very high so it is not a huge tree, but it is just right.
Jack Jack starting his search. It was actually pretty cold, but he refused to wear a coat. At least he had clothes on.

Aw, it's Christmas! I broke out the tunes yesterday, and the child is watching The Nutcracker for the second time in two days.
it's lovely!
Beautiful! I think we are looking at doing the tree thing this coming weekend - I hope. The Hubby likes to do it later, since he hates it when the tree dries out.
I love Christmas. The tree looks PERFECT!
Looks very much like the kind of tree we'll get. Still cleaning up from Thanksgiving, though. Besides, as my husband always says, it's too nice out to put up lights. Why do it in the mild weather when you can wait and frezee your digits off?
Awww. I'm looking forward to Christmas this year with my 5 year old. Fun stuff ahead!
