Things I Learned on Vacation

1. Air conditioning rocks. I have no idea how people lived without air conditioning.

2. It is possible for my children to behave themselves terribly, frequently, making me want to hide from them.

3. 3 days at Disneyland and California Adventures is not too many, as long as the third day is a week later.

4. People who own dogs and let them bark all night long, keeping other people awake, all night long, should be jailed.

5. I love my own bed. It is my favorite bed in the whole wide world.

6. I wish I lived at the beach.

7. Children, who have pets of their own at home, will become obsessed with grandma's pets and follow them around and chase them and want to play with them constantly, even if grandma's pets are not used to attention 24/7 and try to hide from said children if at all possible.

8. My children need their own space and will annoy each other, on purpose, after spending too much time together.

9. Children behave much better when they are kept busy, but parents get tired of busy and might try to rest, forcing them to become referees of all trouble instead of actually enjoying the rest.

10. Sometimes I need a vacation from my vacation, but the memories and the family are always worth it.

Oh gosh... I think I ALWAYS need a vacation from my vacation but I agree that the memories are more than worth it.

I'm always glad to know that other people's kids pick at each other when bored too!!

That last line is perfect! We always feel a little like that, too.

Number 9 is the best. So true! But I love that you wrote that it is all worth it anyway.

Oh, I so agree that there is no bed like your bed. Soooooo true.

I'm glad you are home safe and sound, with lovely memories in your mind.
